Kindergarten
- Utilizing “centers” approach, manipulative materials, games, along with an accredited curriculum enables students to internalize readiness skills in language, math, and social development areas. While the various learning “centers” form the core of the program, the teacher also uses large group, small groups, and individual instruction to promote listening skills, visual discrimination, dramatic play, and social interaction. Our program follows a curriculum that emphasizes and expands on the state required essential elements and incorporates them in an atmosphere of warmth and guidance.
- Our curriculum reflects an active “hands on” approach to building early skills. Reading and writing activities are integrated in the language experience approach. Students develop language skills, social studies, and science concepts through “centers” which encourage role-playing and learning by experiences. Number concepts and math/language concepts are taught using manipulative materials along with an approved curriculum. Instilling a positive self-concept enables the child to expand his appreciation and cooperative interaction with others.
